Cards Using Wide Symmetrical Punched Paper Lace With Ribbon:
Engagement Card With Paper Lace:
Supplies Used To Make This Greeting Card:
- Blizzard Blue Patterned Paper by Reminisce
- Patterned Paper From the Boho Chic 6×6 Pad by Making Memories
- Strathmore Plain White Bristol Board
- Turquoise and Purple narrow ribbons
- Brilliant Concentrated Watercolors
- Woodblock Stamp (this is not absolutely necessary, but I used it to create the effect in the background of the heart motif.)
- Zig Calligraphy Marker
- Autumn Leaves Journaling Stamp
- Fiskars Paper Edgers:
- Mini Scallop
- Fiskars Hand Punches:
- Tiny Circle / Dot
This is how the card looked before I attached the heart motif to it:
I wanted to show you this because seeing it sparks my creative imagination for lots of other ways this card could be embellished:
For example, one thing that comes immediately to my mind:
Stamp a circle, or round journaling block stamp, or label stamp onto cardstock or distressed patterned paper. Cut out with either plain scissors or scalloped paper edgers. Attach a Prima flower on top.
Or, cover a chipboard shape with patterned paper, ink / distress it, and attach it to the front of the card, and add a sticker, flourish, flower or doodle on top.
Also keep in mind that you can add any sentiment you want! Stamps or letter stickers would be a great way to customize this card.
Another possible variation of this card:
Instead of using the purple Boho Chic patterned paper, substitute any of the Frosted patterned papers by Reminisce. Choose one of the Frosted Stickers or Snowflakes Stickers by Reminisce to layer on top of circles or other shapes cut out of cardstock. I think the Frosty Penguin sticker would be really adorable! But any of these stickers could be a cute embellishment for the card. You’d also want to substitute a blue or a green ribbon for the purple ribbon used.
